Ingredients
- 200 g of grated coconut
- 150 g of caster sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- Heating the oven:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C and prepare a baking tray by lining it with baking paper.
- Dough preparation:
- In a large bowl, mix the grated coconut and sugar. Add the eggs, vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Mix well until smooth.
- Forming the sweets:
- Using a teaspoon, scoop out small amounts of dough and form into balls. Place the balls on the prepared baking tray, leaving a little space between each one.
- Cooking:
- Bake the cakes and bake them for about 10-15 minutes or until lightly golden. It is important to monitor the baking as the coconut can burn quickly.
- Cooling:
- Once cooked, remove the cakes from the oven and allow them to cool on the baking tray for a few minutes. Then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
